MEET THE STEP BY STEP KIDZ
Jeremy is currently in high school. He enjoys video games, skateboarding, and football. Jeremy also likes to read, sing, and draw. He takes his look very seriously and enjoys fashion. He has expressed an interest in working with animals in the future or joining the military. Jeremy would benefit from one on one time and attention to help him with homework, developing independent living skills, and getting him focused on his future. Jeremy is a friendly teenager, who has a good sense humor and can be fun to be around. He loves eating out, playing and does well with one-on-one attention. He is very intelligent and does well in school. Jeremy has had a difficult start in life and suffered many losses.
Sara is a reserved teen, but nonetheless enjoys being around people. Although somewhat shy, she still makes friends with little problem. She has had no problems getting along with peers. She gets along well with adults and continues to maintain relationships with several adults she has met through church activities.
Joshua has had a very chaotic childhood. Having been in and out of foster care since infancy, and most recently, having disrupted from a long term adoptive placement, he is having a hard time processing and accepting the changes. At face value, Joshua presents as easy going, laid back, and accepting of this new journey. Underneath it all however, he is a hurt child whose trust in others has been damaged.
Elizabeth is a very friendly and social young lady. She is independent, strong-willed and not afraid to speak her mind. Elizabeth enjoys quiet time alone and also chatting with her friends. She likes school and states she is motivated to do well this year.
Stephen is a teenager who enjoys drawing and is very artistic. He is intelligent and gets good grades when he applies himself. He also enjoys listening to music and playing his favorite video games. Stephen states that he would like to be a social worker when he grows up and help others.
Ruth enjoys typical teenage activities....singing along with her favorite music and rap artists, hanging out with her friends, experimenting with clothes and make-up and playing basketball. Athletic and artistic, Ruth also enjoys reading and writing poetry, shopping and going to the movies.
Adam is a friendly and polite teen. He is very creative and enjoys drawing. He also likes to play sports and be outside. Adam has high goals for his future. He wants to attend college, travel the world and go on big adventures.
Emily is a beautiful, young girl who loves to listen to music and dance. She is a lovable and pleasant child who aspires to be a hairstylist. She struggles with peer relationships and managing her anger. She does present behavioral challenges at home and in school. Emily receives medication and counseling to address these issues. She is on-target academically. Emily is engaging, well-spoken and intelligent.
Matthew is a polite, respectful, and typical teen who likes his video games, sports- especially baseball and football, playing on the computer, and hanging out with his friends. Matthew gets along well with his peers and currently enjoys being in a home with other teen boys. Matthew gets along well with younger children and enjoys being around them, just not necessarily living with them.
Brittany is a sweet young girl. She has a bright smile and sparkling eyes. She can be very caring and nurturing. She likes to read, caring for animals (especially dogs), and making craft items to give away. Brittany is a good student and likes to participate in school activities.
